The biggest challenge for makers is determining how to price our wares. There are all kinds of formulas and calculations floating around out there for makers to use. Quite frankly, they are too complicated and don't always work well in all situations. 

This has been on my mind for a while, and while I want to give you the absolute best product for the best price, the bottom line is that I still need to make money, seeing as this is my job. 

So here it is.... some general guild lines for prices on custom orders. This allows you to customize your  order and give you a personal experience. I will be using this as a general guide for ready made bags as well. 

You can start with the base price and add on as you choose. 

Handbags and Boot Bags 

*Base price - 200$  this is a fully lined bag, zip closure, one slip pocket ( either outside or inside) adjustable  attached shoulder strap, this can include some fringe half way down the sides. Less than 20 rivets. 

* Zippered Pockets $20.00

The zippered pocket can be inside or outside, and it will be leather trimmed. 

*Single Full Fringe $20.00

A single layer of fringe down both sides the full length. can include along the bottom as well if requested. 

*Removable Swivel Hook Strap ( vs an attached strap)  $10.00

Double Fringe 40.00 

Double fringe is when there is 2 layers of fringe down the sides for lots of fullness and swish. Along the bottom can also be included. There is often a gusset or a panel included in this as well. 

* Concho's or excessive decorative rivets -10.00 

Tote Bags/Overnight Bags/Backpacks

These are generally made from a customers jacket that is sent to me. They are a bit more work, and a bit more materials. 

*Base Price $225.00 

The base price includes taking the jacket apart, this base price is a fully lined bag, zip closure, one slip pocket ( either outside or inside) adjustable attached shoulder strap, this can include some fringe half way down the sides. Less than 20 rivets. 

All of the add ons are the same as the above purse add ons. 

Handles as well as a shoulder strap -20.00

I hope this helps you when deciding on what features that you want on your custom bag. These are not always hard and fast rules, but certainly a general guide line that helps me give you a price quote, and helps you decide how you want your bag to look. 

These prices may be subject to change, but never after I give you a quote. You will never pay more than the quote, and ideally I can keep things under the quote!
